At Thurness Cocker Spaniels, we breed quality, solid colour, show type Cocker Spaniels.
Founded by the Late Ms Chris Pollok, the entire breeding kennels is now run by myself Yvonne Karyn Pollok, after my mums passing in January 2020. By the request of my mother her affix has been officially handed over to myself by authorisation of The Kennel Club and thus the lines of our dogs continue.
Our dogs are kept in my own home environment and kennelled when required, they are used to “bagging” the famous Scottish “Munros” and are chief watchers of danger to the horses I have also, as well as top cat tormentor (although the cat gives as good as she gets back). We regularly get up to all sorts in our kennel, but treat all our dogs like one of the family. To see what we get up to feel free to follow their Instagram page @thurness_cocker_spaneils.
Our dogs have and do compete at the highest levels of showing, having earned numerous placings over the years.
All our dogs carry the genetic lines to produce all 3 solid colours – black, black and tan and gold.
Producing quality animals is our goal, with temperament and health being our highest priorities. Most of the pups we sell are typically are homed into families and thus it is of the upmost importance we produce good natured animals, and no one likes a vets bill (especially not us with so many pets) so we try to ensure all our dogs are clear of any hereditary conditions by participating in genetic testing and health screenings available for the breed. Good general health is then the only thing we have to worry about, but anyone who meets our dog’s sees we keep all our animals in loved and cared for conditions.
Occasionally Puppies are available to loving homes. All enquiries welcome by email.
