This can be on a regular or ad hoc basis: While the pet owner is at work or away for the day, has a new baby and needs some extra help, unable to manage because of illness or incapacity, has to stay in hospital unexpectedly or an appointment at hospital or other treatment. If a pet owner is admitted to a local hospital unexpectedly, Samantha can collect a house key from the hospital and attend to the pet. She also offers a pet taxi service to take a pet to the vet or groomer whenever the owner is unable to. If the pet owner is flying off for the day or travelling a long distance to a meeting, Samantha can offer peace of mind knowing that the pet will be cared for if the plane is delayed, stuck in traffic or in a meeting that ran late. With her stand-by service she will keep a house key and at short notice will ensure the pet is fed and/or walked as necessary. Samantha knows the demands an animal can place on its owner and the owner can worry about its lack of company or attention while they not around. Samantha has dog walking insurance.
