Dog grooming in a gentle caring environment. I aim to make your dog's grooming session an experience he or she will enjoy and which will leave them looking forward to their future visits. Other than a securing lead for your dog's safety and guidance no harsh handling techniques are used at Pilgrim's Tails Dog Grooming and no belly straps, slings or restraints are used, your dog will never be in any way sedated here and I have been trained to work with your dog so he or she will comply with the grooming procedure not to fight against it. If you have a problem dog I am still willing to groom him or her, it may be that I request you to remain while they are groomed or in extreme situations it may be that a specialist behaviourist is required to assist with handling during the groom, I can arrange this for you following discussion and further down the line it may become unecessary. A detailed 7 point health check will be given, and feedback provided to help you monitor any changes and take them up with your vet as appropriate. All breeds and sizes of dog are welcome and although I have a wide range of safe, effective gentle products available to use on your dog if you have your own favourite product, or even a prescription shampoo you would like me to use on your dog please bring it with you. Bathing, de-matting, scissoring, stripping or clipping, nails etc.. all available. Styles and needs will be discussed fully with the client using illustrated styling guides along with the wide range of literature I have available on all recognised dog breeds and if you dog is a happy mix there are a variety of styling lines available here too.
