Hello, I'm Gemma, I have around 10 years experience working with animals. Voluntary and Paid roles such as Assistant Zoo Keeper, Assistant Vet Nurse, Cattery Assistant, Falconer, Animal Carer, Pest Control Technician and Animal Care Technician. I've worked with Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Ferrets, Farm Animals, Birds, Caged Animals/Small animals, Fish, Exotics and Birds of Prey. I also hold a Full Clean Driving Licence. I'm a Member of NarpsUk (National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers). I offer out Dog Walking, Pet Sitting/House, Pop-In Service and Pet Taxi services. I am a friendly, honest, reliable, professional individual who has a passion for animal welfare. Services and Prices: 1. Dog Walking: Dog Walking: 30min walk per dog is £7,00 60min walk per dog is £11 Collection and Delivery: Free of charge if within my local area • I can discuss your particular requirements and I can walk your dogs around the local area for as long as you require. • Dogs will be kept on leads for your reassurance that nothing untoward happens, unless otherwise specified. On completing a signing my Off-Lead Form, I can walk you dog(s) off lead, free to run around more and play. • Providing regular or occasional walking. • I can walk up to 4 dogs at one time. • Big, small, old or young. • An additional £2.50 on a 2nd (or more) family dog. 2. Dog and Cat Sitting/House Sitting in your family home: Dogs or Cats £30 for a night stay (12 hours) Longer Day care hour: can be arranged. Please call for further information • This service will allow me to come to your house and look after your pets from the comfort of their own home. • House sitting can be arranged for any length of time from a day up to several weeks. • During this time I can live in your house and carry out day to day chores, as well as looking after any of your pets. • I can look after Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Ferrets, Caged Animals/Small Animals (rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils), Exotics, Birds, Fish and Birds of Prey. • My animal husbandry services will include duties such as providing fresh food and water, cleaning out cages or litter trays, giving attention and fussing, cleaning up of any 'accidents', letting the Cat out and in, letting your Dog out in the garden, and towel dry and clean mudding paws/tidy floors. • I can also carry out other duties such as watering the plants, bringing in and taking out the bins, opening and closing curtains, home security checks, turning on and off lights, landline phone calls answered, bringing in the newspaper. 3. Pop-In Service: Cats – Basic visit £8 for 20mins visit Longer pop-in service visits can be arranged and quoted for. Please call for further information Dogs – Basic Visit £8 for 20mins visit Longer pop-in service visits can be arranged and quoted for. Please call for further information Cages/Small animals and Fish – Basic Visit £6 for 20min visit Longer pop-in service visits can be arranged and quoted for. Please call for further information Birds of Prey – Basic Visit £8 for 20mins visit This service also includes feeding off the Fist. Flying Birds of Prey can also be arranged and quoted for. Longer pop-in service visits can be arranged and quoted for. Please call for further information. • This is a short visit lasting about 20mins. However particular requirements can be arranged and I can stay longer is required. I can make more than one of these visits per day if required. • My duties can include: Cleaning of feeding bowls, providing fresh food and water, Cleaning (litter box cleaning, cleaning out cages or spot cleaning Aviary or Mews), giving attention and fussing, cleaning up of any 'accidents', letting the Cat out and in, letting your Dog out in the garden, keeping the pet company and towel dry and clean mudding paws/tidy floors. • I can look after Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Ferrets, Caged Animals/Small Animals (rats, mice, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils), Exotics, Birds, Fish and Birds of Prey (Owls, Vultures, Eagles, Falcons, Hawks/Buzzards). 4. Pet Taxi: Local Trips: to vets, groomers, cattery or kennels etc £10 for there and back plus 40 pence per mile to and from destination • I provide a transportation service where we will collect your pet and transport it where required at the times specified. We will then return your pet to you afterwards. • Your pet will be secure in cages in the vehicle at all times. • Situations could include a visit to the vets, cattery or kennels, or a trip to the grooming parlour. 5. Additional Services added onto service: Basic grooming - 5mins £2 Administrating medication – 5 mins £2 Play - £5 mins £2 Qualifications: • I hold a BTEC National Diploma In Animal Management at Easton College - Modules covered included: Animal Health, Practical Animal Handling and Husbandry, Animal Behaviour, Breed Development and Welfare, Aquatics Management, Management of Exotics, Care and Welfare of Farm Livestock, Dog training, Dog Grooming, Animal First Aid and Animal Biology. • I hold an ABC Level 2 Certificate in Small Animal Care - Modules covered included: Nutrition and Feeding of Dogs and Cats, Animal First Aid and Small Animal care. • NarpsUK and Lantra Approved Certificate in Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Business • I've completed an Animals Jobs Direct Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Practical Certificate. • I've completed a Basic Falconry Course, as well as volunteered for 2 years within a Bird of Prey Centre, caring for a flying a variety of Birds of Prey such as Owls, Hawks, Vultures and Falcons. I've also cared for my own two Harris Hawks who I raised and trained. Memberships & Benefits & Insurance: • I'm a Member of NarpsUk (National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers • I also hold a Full Clean Driving Licence • I have access to a 24hour ‘NarpsUK Vet Advice Line’ allowing access to a Vet Nurse for emergency advice. • I'm also registered with www.lostdog.com • And have Pet Business Insurance and have been DBS Checked with no criminal convictions. Areas Covered: • I work local areas such as: St Ives, Fenstanton, Willingham, Fen Drayton, Swavesey, Over, Earith, Bluntisham, Somersham, Needingworth, Woodhurst, Holywell, Conington, Hilton, Godmanchester, Hemingford Grey, Hartford, Huntingdon, Wyton, Warboys, Oldhurst, Fenton, Broughton and Kings Ripton. • I will travel up to around 20mins from my address PE27 5NA. • I will travel further for special requests but will charge 40per mile. Thereby reflecting honour upon the pet care services industry within my local community. • I will take every precautions to enable the health and safety of all animals under my care • I will treat all customers information with the strictest of confidentially at all times • I will encourage responsible pet ownership, and promote an increased awareness and acceptance of humane and noble animal protection programs. Prices: All prices are set as a guideline and are subject to change or alternations. Such alternations may incur due to (but not limited to) location of service, number of pets, weekend and bank holiday service, amount or variety of service carried out in one visit etc.
