Woof Style Professional Dog Grooming provides a professional service at an affordable price. Services include micro chipping and hand stripping. Will pick up and drop off if within a 5 mile radius for a small fee. Woof Style was set up in June 2012 after having problems getting my own dog booked into a salon as I didn’t want to wait 4-6 weeks for an appointment. I went on a short course so I could learn how to groom my own dog and this sparked more than an interest in grooming professionally. Once I had got the grooming bug I decided that if I was to do this seriously then I would need to learn how to groom professionally. I have undertaken a dog grooming course on how to correctly lift & restrain, bath & groom at the All Breed Dog Grooming Academy, West Midlands. This led me onto an intensive course at Fir Tree Dog Grooming Academy in Sale, Manchester where I learned how to groom a variety of breeds. After a few months of grooming I undertook a hand-stripping course at the Dog Groom Room in Winsford, Cheshire. I am also currently studying for a Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma to ensure that I have the non-practical side of dog grooming under my belt. In 2012 I provided a mobile dog grooming service but since September 2012 I am now also operating from my home based salon in Eastham. If you do require the mobile service, as long as there is access to a bath/shower and an electric point then your dog can still be fully groomed. Last year I also undertook a Micro Chipping Course through Pet Detect® and The Pet Chip Company under the supervision of a Veterinary Surgeon @ Leahurst Teaching Hospital, Wirral which I successfully completed and am now able to micro-chip dogs. I periodically return to The Dog Groom Room for refresher training and to ensure that I am aware of any new equipment or products that are new on the market and to keep up-to-date on techniques.
