About us
Started in 1991, NWESSR became a registered charity in 1999 allowing us to raise much needed funds to continue finding homes and giving help to hundreds of Springers. Since inception we have re-homed, fostered and given medical aid to thousands of dogs.
NWESSR is listed in the Kennel Club Rescue Directory and was set up to cover the North West of England, however with our growing band of helpers we are now able to re-home Springers To most parts of the country.
There are many reasons why a dog finds its way into the care of NWESSR;
• Their owners may have died or may be going into a care home
• Owners have found that they are unable to dedicate enough time to a very energetic breed of dog
• Cruelty and neglect
Whatever the reason, NWESSR is there to help care for and re-home English Springer Spaniels.
