I'm totally anti bloodsports, but although the cartoons relate to the huntin' shootin' and fishin' brigade's breeds of dogs, I enjoyed these fabulous visual cartoons immensely .. the book's a keeper: if you could bear to vandalise it, it'd be great to frame individual pages too.

The dogs' expressions are priceless. (Mr & Mrs Perks are pretty neat too!)

Anyone who has or loves dogs can't fail to recognise some of the little blighters' moods and eccentricities in these cartoons; certainly my husband & I were crying with laughter over several of them.

This is one of the best, if not the best and most complete German Shepherd book out there. It's great for the new puppy owner to the experienced breeder like my self. It's packed with German and American bloodlines. ROM list with pictures, German Siegers, Grand Victors, German terminology, and German names for your new puppy.

Its always interesting to get a new book on your favorite breed of dog, and this book will not disappoint you, Jill Swedlow has coverd all of the usual topics you expect to find in a breed book, ie. history, chooseing a Dane puppy, living with a giant breed, showing and breeding ect, but has also managed to cover topics such as how to keep your Dane happy and healthy, obedience trials, activities and other fun things to do with your dog, and one i found very interesting was the chapter on careing for your older Dane. This book has some very beautiful illustraions of Great Dane's of all ages, If you have kept Danes for years or are thinking of buying your first Great Dane puppy this book is a must, it will give you many hours of fun and informative reading on your favorite breed the Great Dane! highly recommend.

This is the only training book I have ever used (although I have bought lots!). Its step by step instructions are very easy to follow and using the modern lure and reward training method they really work. I have a six month old Labrador puppy who was toilet trained by 3 months and already to command will; sit, lie down, stand, stay, wait, go to bed, drop things, fetch, catch and much more. I have recommended this book to all my doggy friends and anyone who asks me which training school I take my dog to!
