 The New Complete Portuguese Water Dog (Howell Reference Books) - £8.03
Kitty REALLY KNOWS this breed and the history of the Portuguese Water Dog. This is the best book I have seen on the breed and highly recommend it. The emphasis is the breed in the US, but includes information on the foundation dogs that would be of interest to people in other countries.

This book by Paolo Correa is easy to read and has some interesting information. For a person wanting an overview of the breed it is ok. However, it reminds me of books found in pet stores, where most of the book is the same for every breed and just a chapter or two specific to the breed. I was disappointed that the dogs in the photos were not identified and I would have liked to have seen more information on the breed in Europe. For the person wanting real in depth information about the Portuguese Water Dog, I prefer the revised Complete Portuguese Water Dog book by Katherine Braund.
