As a relatively new PJRT owner I learned much from this book. Not only about blood lines and breeding but also good information about the Parson's character. The photo's are beautiful (..some of my dogs great grand-parents are in it) and I think this book is a very good acquisition to each Parson Jack Russell lover/owner/breeder.

D.B plummer really knows his dogs,the author has created his own type of jrt now known as the plummer terrier.this book contains information on every aspect of the jack russell told in a truthful and often witty manner,a classic Plummer title!.

This book is a good place to start if you are considering getting a Jack Russell Terrier (JRT)puppy/dog as a new addition to your family. It provides useful information for the novice about this breed and the characteristics one can expect. It is full of delightful colour photographs of JRT's. The book is split in two halves, the first concentrating on JRT's the second provides generic information on the training of dogs and their healthcare. I would have preferred it to concentrate specifically on JRT's.The book is clearly aimed at the American market as most of the items referred to will be unfamiliar to those in the UK, however, do not let this put UK buyers off. A useful book although much of the information is available elsewhere.
