Why Goldens Do That: A Collection of Curious Golden Retriever Behaviors - £4.22 | Golden Retriever (Best of Breed) - £7.38 | The Golden Retriever - £7.00 | | Golden Retriever Companion: A Chronicle of Joy - £26.94 | Golden Retrievers - £7.03 | The Complete Guide to the Golden Retriever (Working Dogs) - £9.00 | This book is so helpful when it came to my new puppy and it made toilet training 100% easier This is an excellent book, full of information whether you own a Golden as a pet, show or wish to work your dog. One you will continue to go back to over the years. Extremely well written. | Cormac: The Tale of a Dog Gone Missing - £2.85 | Golden Retriever (World of Dogs) - £11.69 | The Darkest Evening of the Year (Random House Large Print (Cloth/Paper)) - £9.17 | The author has produced an exhaustive and informative account of the Golden Retriever. She is obviously an expert/authority on the breed, and her love for the same is evident throughout. The contents of the book range from working goldens, to breeding, and handling in both working and breed competition. There is a welcome chapter on homeopathic rememdies for various ailments. Whether one is a new owner or one who has been priviledged to have owned goldens over the years, there is something for everyone in this book. Pounds-Longhurst has produced a well-researched account of the Golden Retriever. A disappointment however, is the quality of many of the colour photographs which are to be found in this book. The publishers did the author no favours by using inferior scanning techniques. With a book of this calibre, the author is due better treatment. Dean koontz has done it again. I always found his earlier work to be the best and he has gone back to his roots. I love it when you see the prospective of the killer, how their mind works as well as the other adoring characters. Each chapter is from a different perspective so you never get bored. The only negative comment i would give would be the interaction between brian and amy....more should have happened between them but all in all a great read....couldnt put the book down. |
